No Battery Is Detected Vista Hp System
Use HP Battery Check to test the battery — if the battery is still not detected, go to the Updating the BIOS section of this document. Updating the BIOS If resetting the BIOS default setting did not resolve the problem, look for and install the latest update for your computer's BIOS. It still says no battery detected though??? Issue with the wiring that connects and/or reports the battery to the system. A new battery of hp pavilion notebook pc but the system.

Hi,
I'm having issues with battery charging and my Windows 7. When booting, the battery is detected in BIOS and charging (charge light is glowing, not blinking). As soon as the computer boots off my HDD and Windows loads, the charge light starts to blink, indicating that the battery is not charging. In Windows, the battery meter displays 'no battery detected' or 'plugged in and not charging'.
At first I thought my battery was simply getting old, but out of accident I forgot to plug the AC adapter in and the computer ran off the battery for ~1.5h, even though Windows didn't recognise a battery. This still applies, which I haven't found a solution to yet.
I've tried running the hardware off another Win7 copy and the same thing happens. I haven't had time to try Linux or WinXP yet, since I own neither. I've also tried uninstalling the ACPI Battery Control in the Device Manager, but without success.Free hp psc 1110 driver.
Any suggestions would be great, as I haven't found any forum posts similar to this.

Old battery? Unplug power to computer - remove battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this if your battery has thin slots - just clean the knife edges that fit into
them and be careful). Batteries do wear out if old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the system maker and many of them have on line forums.
Newer type Litium-Ion batteries usually last longer if you do not discharge then below 30%
however on a laptop that will not extend their life that much. Best is to use A/C adapter
whenever possible.
I use the free version of BatteryBar to monitor my battery. Click the Green button on the
Yellow box on right side of page to download latest stable version.
